Limited Warranty

Scope of Coverage: These warranties apply to a new Coverstar pool cover systems and replacement covers purchased by a retail buyer.

Limited Ten Year Warranty on the Mechanism: Coverstar Inc. warrants the Coverstar pool cover mechanism to be free from defects in material and factory workmanship for ten years from the date of shipment from Coverstar Inc. The mechanism includes all mechanical parts except rope pulleys, guide feeds and sliders that are considered consumed through use. Extrusions of the cover system and electrical components are warranted for three years. Electrical components enclosed in the Coverstar provided aluminum enclosure are warranted against water damage for three years, provided the warranty seal is not broken when returned to Coverstar Inc. for repair. Shipping expense for all parts is not included. Coverstar Inc. will repair workmanship failure free of charge for parts and factory labor at its factory. This warranty does not cover poolside labor to install or repair parts. All installation and on-site labor warranties are offered by the selling, installing, or servicing dealer according to terms and conditions they set for such service.

Coverstar Central Installation and Labor Warranty: Installation and labor warranty applicable only on automatic pool covers and systems installed by Coverstar Central. Coverstar Central warrants new cover system installations to be free of defects in workmanship for one year from date of installation. Coverstar Central warrants replacement cover installations to be free of defects in workmanship for 30 days from the date of installation. Warranty for new cover system and replacement cover installations includes labor for warranty related service and travel charges up to 150 miles from Indianapolis only. Travel charges and other related travel expenses will be charged for warranty work outside 150 mile radius of Indianapolis.

Warranty Performance: Coverstar Inc. manufacturer warranty service is performed at the Lindon, Utah service facility. To receive Coverstar factory service you must ship parts to Coverstar Inc. for repair. All poolside labor warranties including the term and scope of coverage is issued by the installing dealer and is independent from the Coverstar Inc. warranty. On-site service will be provided by the servicing/installing dealer during normal business hours after you notify the dealer and give identification of the equipment, the warranty effective date. For on-site service you must call the servicing dealer found in your owner's manual.

What Is Not Covered: These limited warranties do not cover conditions caused by abuse, neglect, abnormal wear and tear, or improper operation, including your failure to comply with printed instructions furnished with the cover system. Unreasonable use or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance of the fabric, rope, operating mechanism, and extrusions of the cover systems or defects arising from the improper installation are not covered. Shipping expense for all components is the responsibility of the end user. The cover pump is not covered by Coverstar Inc., but is warranted by the pump manufacturer according to its own warranty. These warranties are not transferable.

Exclusions - The Above Warranties Do Not Apply:

1. To conditions resulting from a defect in a component part that is not a part of the Coverstar pool cover system.
2. To conditions resulting from failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance in accordance with Coverstar Inc. instructions.
3. To conditions resulting from any misuse, abuse, submersion (enclosed electrical components are covered above), negligence, accident, alteration, or application beyond the system intended use.
4. To normal fading and minor deterioration of exterior surfaces resulting from exposure to the elements except conditions that do or will affect performance.
5. To damage resulting from acts of God or events beyond the control of Coverstar Inc. including, but not limited to, earthquake, flood, high wind, tornadoes, fire, hail, etc.
6. To systems in which any non-Coverstar parts have been used as part of the system.
7. To conditions or damage resulting from defective part. Warranty covers defective part only.

Other Rights and Remedies:

1. No other express warranties: Unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing, it is understood that these are the only written warranties given by Coverstar Inc. and Coverstar Inc. neither assumes nor authorizes anyone to assume for it any other obligations or liabilities in connection with this warranty. Parts, repair, or replacement is the only remedies, all consequential damages are excluded. No dealer, distributor, or representative of Coverstar Inc. may change in any way these warranties unless such changes are in writing and signed by a legal officer of Coverstar Inc.
2. Implied Warranties: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state, including implied warranties of merchantability, and in certain instances, of fitness for a particular purpose.
3. Arbitration: Both parties agree that any dispute between interested parties and Coverstar Inc. pertaining to all aspects of this warranty and system performance will be resolved by arbitration in Indiana.

Limited Coated Vinyl Fabric Warranty

Limited Five Year Coated Vinyl Fabric Warranty: In the first two years of the warranty period Coverstar Inc. will repair or replace a defective coated vinyl fabric without charge. During the third, fourth, and fifth years of the warranty period the cost of repair or replacement will be prorated 1/60 per month for each month of the warranty period since the initial installation. All fabrics with a warranty claim must be sent to Coverstar Inc. for repair or replacement evaluation. Field labor and shipping is not included. Poolside labor service contracts are only offered by the selling, installing, or servicing dealer. This limited warranty does not cover conditions caused by improper chemical balance in the pool water, damage by animals, abuse, neglect, abnormal wear and tear, cosmetic changes resulting from exposure to the environment that do not affect safety performance, acts of God, including but not limited to damage caused by earthquakes, flood, tornado, hail, high wind, etc., improper operation including your failure to comply with printed instructions.

Limited UltraGard Fabric Warranty

Limited Six Year UltraGard Fabric Warranty: In the first thirty months of the warranty period Coverstar Inc. will repair or replace a defective coated vinyl fabric without charge. During the fourth, fifth, and sixth years of the warranty period the cost of repair or replacement will be prorated 1/72 per month for each month of the warranty period since the initial installation. All fabrics with a warranty claim must be sent to Coverstar Inc. for repair or replacement evaluation. Field labor and shipping is not included. Poolside labor service contracts are only offered by the selling, installing, or servicing dealer. This limited warranty does not cover conditions caused by improper chemical balance in the pool water, damage by animals, abuse, neglect, abnormal wear and tear, cosmetic changes resulting from exposure to the environment that do not affect safety performance, acts of God, including but not limited to damage caused by earthquakes, flood, tornado, hail, high wind, etc., improper operation including your failure to comply with printed instructions.
